Which Is More Practical, Colored Stone Metal Tile Or Resin Tile?

Although most people do not have opportunity to know about stone coated roofing tiles in their lives, they are closely related to us and are an indispensable part of life. So today I will introduce two types of roof tiles that have always been very topical among roof tiles, namely colored stone tiles and resin tiles.
Stone Coated steel tile and resin tiles are both new roofing materials, so what is the difference between them? Today we will make a comparison from the raw materials, advantages and disadvantages, life expectancy and effect of the two.

1.Comparison of raw materials:
The Sand Coated Roofing Sheet uses 0.2~0.6mm thick galvanized steel plate as the bottom plate, and the surface is evenly sprayed with high weather resistance acrylic emulsion primer adhesive and high temperature sintered colored sand.
Resin tiles, the resin tiles currently on the market are generally synthetic resin tiles, the main material is synthetic resin, which is a high molecular polymer made artificially.

2.Comparison of the advantages and disadvantages of stone chip coated steel roof tiles and resin tiles
Both Sand Coated Roofing Sheet and resin tiles are lightweight roof tiles, which are much lighter in weight than traditional stone coated metal roof tiles. Both have the advantages of corrosion resistance and non-flammability.Because Sand Coated Roofing Sheet are made of metal, they are under impact The strength of the force is better than that of the resin tile. Resin tiles have defects in light aging and waterproof performance. The color of resin tiles will change after a few years of use. Unlike stone coated metal roof tiles, colored sand particles sintered at high temperature have a good color-fixing effect. And the waterproof effect of the resin tile is relatively poor in the later stage of use. The waterproof effect of the colored stone metal tile is that the colored sand particles on the surface disperse the rainwater, and the galvanized steel plate of the bottom plate will not leak. So in the current situation, colored stone metal roofing tiles are better than resin tiles.

3.Comparison of service life:
The normal lifespan of resin tiles is about 10-30 years. If the maintenance is good, the service life can be extended. However, as mentioned above, the fading problem and poor waterproof performance of resin tiles in the later stage will lead to a lot of later maintenance costs. The normal service life of colored stone metal tiles is about 30-50 years. If you find a good manufacturer and product, the service life can reach 50 years or more. The colored stone metal tile is made by sintering at a high temperature above 500°C, and there will be no fading.
4.The laying effect comparison
There are many stone coated roofing tiles and resin tiles, but compared with stone coated roof tiles, resin tiles have fewer tile shapes, and the final effect is not as rich as colored stone tiles.
In summary, resin tiles are still relatively lacking compared to stone coated roof tiles. It's just that resin tiles have been used in China for a long time, but colored stone metal tiles have been used abroad for the first time. They were widely used in coastal areas in the 1980s. It is widely used in circles, tourist attractions and other projects.
